SZS Fasteners opened for business on August 1st, 1992 in Byron Center, MI. The original owner’s last names of Stoll, Zoulek, and Stein are what SZS stands for. Shortly after opening, SZS Fasteners hired Alan Schut on August 21st. Alan began his career in retail sales selling everything from shoes to ladies lingerie. Sticking to sales, but selling in this new industry of fasteners, required new product knowledge and understanding of customer needs to succeed.
Today, Alan is the proud owner of SZS which started as a small company in a rented office space and is now in a new 12,000 square foot warehouse stocking over 40,000 items for same day shipping. The sales staff has over 100 years of combined experience in the fastener industry. If you call SZS you will get a real person that answers the phone with a quick answer to any questions you may have. The strong relationship that has been established with our vendors allows us to have access to over one million square feet of inventory available for next day shipping. Through these developments, we have remained loyal to our customer.
